Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the College of Medicine, University of Babylon Conducts the Comprehensive Exam for a PhD Candidate Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, Prof. Dr. Mohend Abbass Al-Shalah, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tariq Hussein Mughair, Head of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, the department held the comprehensive examination for the PhD candidate Hasneen Ali Hussein, specializing in Clinical Biochemistry, as part of the requirements for obtaining the PhD degree and in accordance with the scientific and administrative regulations approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The examination was supervised by: • Prof. Dr. Maha Fadhil Smaysim • Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hassan Ali Pursuant to the administrative order issued by the Dean’s Office, the comprehensive examination committee was formed as follows: • Prof. Dr. Hanaa Adai Ali / University of Kufa – College of Science (Chair) • Prof. Dr. Lamees Abdulrazzaq Abdul Latif / University of Babylon – College of Medicine (Member) • Prof. Dr. Ali Jasim Muhameed / University of Babylon – College of Medicine (Member) • Asst. Prof. Dr. Khawla Abdulhamza Shukran / University of Babylon – College of Medicine (Member) • Asst. Prof. Dr. Intisar Raheem Ubaid / University of Babylon – College of Basic Education (Member) The examination included an oral assessment to evaluate the candidate’s academic competence, depth of knowledge, and scientific level within his specialized field. The session also witnessed the discussion and approval of the candidate’s research proposal, in preparation for his transition to the practical research phase. These examinations reflect the commitment of the College of Medicine administration and the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry to enhancing the quality of postgraduate programs and adhering to rigorous academic standards, ensuring the preparation of highly qualified scientific cadres to support health and research institutions with advanced expertise.
