Babylon University College of Medicine Holds a Meeting with Babylon Health Directorate
The College of Medicine at Babylon University held an extensive meeting with the Babylon Health Directorate, chaired by the President of Babylon University, Professor Dr. Ameen Ajeel Yasser Al-Yasiri, and attended by Professor Dr. Muhannad Abbas Al-Shallah, Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Hadi Mohammed Ali Al-Mousawi, Dean of Hammurabi College of Medicine, Dr. Jawad Kazem Al-Bairmani, Director-General of Babylon Health Directorate, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Ajrash, Director of the Training and Development Center, as well as the scientific and administrative assistants.
During the meeting, discussions were held on activating the cooperation agreement between Babylon Health Directorate and the College of Medicine, particularly regarding teaching hospitals and specialized educational centers. The agreement includes activating the hospital administration board, ensuring that the deans of the College of Medicine at Babylon and Hammurabi are part of its structure. The board’s role will be to organize the work of specialized faculty physicians, coordinate their schedules, and monitor their attendance to ensure fairness and maximize their contributions to the healthcare institution while maintaining their academic, teaching, and college-related responsibilities.
The President of Babylon University, Professor Dr. Ameen Ajeel Yasser Al-Yasiri, expressed his full support and commitment to implementing the terms of the agreement and expanding cooperation frameworks to benefit students and faculty members.
For their part, the deans of the Colleges of Medicine at Babylon and Hammurabi emphasized that the agreement aims to regulate and monitor the work of faculty physicians, ensuring their expertise benefits both the Health Directorate and the College of Medicine. They also highlighted the role of this collaboration in enhancing the educational process and meeting accreditation requirements, thereby strengthening the scientific reputation of the College of Medicine and increasing its chances of achieving a high ranking in global classifications.
