Faculty Member from the University of Babylon’s College of Medicine Receives International Diabetes Federation Fellowship

Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Al-Bayati, a consultant and faculty member in the Department of Internal Medicine at the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, has been awarded the International Diabetes Federation Fellowship (IDF Fellowship)—one of the most distinguished international certifications in the field of diabetes (covering diagnosis, treatment, and complications).

This prestigious academic achievement marks a significant milestone in the academic journey of the College of Medicine – University of Babylon. Dr. Ali Al-Bayati is now the first professor at the College of Medicine to hold both this prominent international fellowship and the Fellowship of the American College of Endocrinology (FACE).

This remarkable scientific accomplishment reflects years of dedicated academic and research efforts, extensive medical experience in the field of diabetes, and a deep-rooted commitment to scientific and intellectual excellence. In his statement, the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Muhannad Abbas Al-Shalah, commended this outstanding scientific and academic achievement, congratulating Dr. Ali Al-Bayati on obtaining this prestigious fellowship, which he described as a significant accomplishment for both the College of Medicine and the University of Babylon.
