College of Medicine Dean’s Office Receives Delegation from the Center for Environmental Research and Studies
As part of the University of Babylon’s ongoing efforts to strengthen academic and technical cooperation among its various units, Professor Dr. Mohend Abbass Al-Shalah received an official delegation from the Center for Environmental Research and Studies, headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Shimaa Al-Obaidi, accompanied by the heads of the center’s departments.
The visit came in appreciation of the pioneering and supportive role provided by the College of Medicine to the center. The visiting delegation expressed their sincere gratitude and appreciation for the continuous support, particularly in the maintenance of advanced laboratory equipment and the facilitation of research procedures.
For his part, the Dean, during the meeting, emphasized that the college places all its expertise and laboratories at the service of the university’s research centers. He also highlighted that linking medical sciences with environmental studies represents a fundamental pillar in addressing contemporary health and environmental challenges, and that supporting scientific research is a professional duty aimed primarily at enhancing the reputation of the University of Babylon in international forums and improving its global ranking.
At the conclusion of the visit, and in recognition of this fruitful collaboration, the delegation of the Center for Environmental Research and Studies presented a letter of appreciation and a commemorative shield to the Dean, wishing him and the medical institution continued success in serving the educational and research mission in our beloved Iraq.
