Department of Physiology Organizes a Field Visit to Al-Imam Al-Sadiq (PBUH) Hospital
In line with the directives of the Dean of the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, Professor Dr. Mohend Abbas Al-Shalah, and as part of the College’s ongoing efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Department of Physiology organized a field visit to the Dermatology Consultation Unit at Al-Imam Al-Sadiq (PBUH) Hospital in Babylon Province.
The visit was conducted under the direct supervision of the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Farah Nabil Abbas, with the participation of a number of faculty members and a group of first-year medical students.
The initiative aimed to highlight the most important techniques and methods used in the diagnosis and treatment of dermatological diseases, familiarize students with preventive measures against these conditions, and strengthen the role of the University in achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education). This was accomplished by enhancing communication skills among first-year students and connecting them with real community settings from the beginning of their academic journey.
This visit is part of a series of field activities adopted by the College of Medicine to promote health awareness among students and contribute to building a generation that is both health-conscious and intellectually aware, in line with the vision of the University of Babylon in serving the local community.
