A Faculty Member at the College of Medicine, University of Babylon Chairs a Scientific Session at the Joint Medical Conference (CReDO) in Baghdad Professor Consultant Dr. Ali Al-Bayati, a faculty member at the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, participated in the activities of the Second Scientific Conference (CReDO), which was held in Baghdad from May 14–15, 2026, where he chaired one of the conference’s main scientific sessions. The conference witnessed broad and distinguished participation from leading consultant physicians, academics, and specialists from various Iraqi provinces. It was jointly organized by several prominent medical societies and institutions, including: • Iraqi Cardiology and Thoracic Society • Iraqi Society of Diabetes and Endocrinology • Iraqi Society of Nephrology and Kidney Transplantation • National Diabetes Center The conference was characterized by a highly interactive scientific atmosphere, featuring extensive discussion panels and specialized lectures focusing on three major medical themes: 1. Diabetes and Endocrinology: Discussions highlighted the latest treatment protocols and recent medical advances aimed at improving the quality of patient care. 2. Cardiology and Thoracic Diseases: Modern and innovative diagnostic and clinical therapeutic techniques were reviewed. 3. Kidney Diseases and Transplantation: The sessions focused on exchanging scientific insights and ideas to overcome challenges and further develop this vital medical field in Iraq. This active participation by faculty members of the College of Medicine reflects the institution’s commitment to strengthening its scientific presence in national medical forums and enhancing collaboration and knowledge exchange with research centers and specialized medical societies in support of the healthcare sector in Iraq.
