The University of Babylon is one of the largest universities in Iraq. It is situated on the banks of the Euphrates River in the province of Babil in central Iraq. The institution is made up of 21 colleges spread across three main locations in Hilla. The central university campus is in the medical colleges complex in the center of Hilla -Al-Iskan.

A visit by a delegation from the University of Babylon, headed by the University President and in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and the Dean of Hammurabi Medicine, to the Minister of Health to discuss increasing cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the fields of training and scientific research for various health specialties to work in health institutions. The Minister stressed the importance of teaching students the necessary skills they need after graduation and applying professional behavior and communication skills. Dr. Al-Shalah expressed his happiness with the cooperation between the Ministry of Health and Higher Education and their support for doctors in the health and educational institutions.
