The College of Medicine welcomed the students for the first time in 1993-1994. Faculty Member from the College of Medicine – University of Babylon Chairs Scientific Session Professor Consultant Dr. Ali Hussein Al-Bayati, Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology and Diabetes, chaired one of the scientific sessions at the First Iraqi Specialized Conference on Diabetes and Endocrinology, held in the capital, Baghdad, on April 10–11, 2025. The conference was organized in coordination between the National Center for Diabetes – Al-Mustansiriyah University and the Iraqi Society for Diabetes and Endocrinology. The event witnessed the participation of numerous consultant and specialist physicians from across Iraq, featuring presentations of medical research, discussions of rare clinical cases, and reviews of the latest global advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of endocrine and hormonal disorders
