Faculty Member from the College of Medicine at the University of Babylon Participates in the Second Scientific Symposium on Catheter-Based Interventions
Professor Dr. Amir Ahmed Aljubawii, a faculty member in the Department of Internal Medicine at the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, participated in the Second Scientific Symposium on Catheter-Based Interventions, organized by the Iraqi Society for Cardiology and Thoracic Surgery.
During the symposium, a clinical case titled “Using Mechanical Circulatory Support in a Patient with Acute Anterior Myocardial Infarction with Cardiogenic Shock” was presented and discussed, highlighting the latest treatment approaches for such conditions.
This symposium is considered one of the most important scientific events focused on catheter-based interventions, with clinical cases selected for presentation based on the latest scientific standards.
The use of mechanical circulatory support devices represents one of the most advanced therapeutic techniques for patients suffering from cardiogenic shock and has been shown to significantly reduce mortality rates.
