Babylon Medical Students Undergo Final Practical Examination in Internal Medicine
The final practical examination in Internal Medicine for sixth-year students at the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, was conducted at Al-Murjan Teaching Hospital under the direct supervision of the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Hassan Salem Al-Jumaili. He stated that full preparations had been made to receive the students and that the exam consisted of three stages.
The first stage was the long-case examination; the second stage was the OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination), which included several stations such as clinical examination, an oral exam, and assessment of drug knowledge, emergency, and critical care cases.
He added that the third stage was the slide-based exam, which included dermatological cases, chest X-rays, ECG interpretation, and general internal medicine cases. The examination was conducted with the participation of faculty members from the department and doctors from the Babylon Health Directorate. The process ran smoothly without any significant issues.
Dr. Al-Jumaili praised the efforts of the hospital director, Dr. Fadel Al-Sultani, for facilitating all necessary arrangements and providing the wards and clinical cases needed for the student examinations
