Faculty Member from the College of Medicine, University of Babylon Participates in a Scientific Conference in Kurdistan
Dr. Zainab Haidar Al-Kufaishi, a faculty member in the Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine at the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, participated in the Third Respiratory Diseases Conference in Kurdistan, held in Erbil from May 29–30, 2025. The event witnessed wide participation from physicians and researchers from various countries and across the provinces of Iraq.
Dr. Al-Kufaishi contributed to the conference by presenting a distinguished scientific research titled:
“Applying P40 and TTF-1 in Subtyping of Poorly Differentiated Lung Carcinoma in Small Bronchoscopic Biopsies.”
The research highlighted the importance of using the immunohistochemical markers P40 and TTF-1 in classifying poorly differentiated lung tumors based on small bronchoscopic biopsies. This approach contributes to improving diagnostic accuracy and guiding appropriate treatment decisions for patients.
This participation reflects the College of Medicine, University of Babylon’s commitment to enhancing its scientific and research presence nationally and promoting the exchange of knowledge and expertise with medical institutions across Iraq.
At the conclusion of the conference, Dr. Al-Kufaishi was honored with a shield and certificate of appreciation in recognition of her valuable efforts and active participation, which contributed to the success of the scientific sessions at the conference.
