Sixth-Year Students at the College of Medicine, University of Babylon Sit for the End-of-Clinical-Course Exam in Internal Medicine The Department of Internal Medicine at the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, conducted the end-of-clinical-course examination for sixth-year students in the wards of Merjan Teaching Hospital. The exam was directly supervised by the Head of the Department of Internal Medicine, Professor Dr. Hassan Salem Abdulsada Al-Jumaili, and coordinated with the administration of Merjan Medical City, represented by Consultant Dr. Fadhil Kazem Al-Sultani. The examination also witnessed active participation by the department’s faculty members, a distinguished group of physicians from the Babylon Health Directorate, as well as teaching assistants and senior resident doctors. The exam included a comprehensive assessment of students’ skills through two main components: • OSCE stations (OSCE): to evaluate clinical skills, the ability to manage emergency cases, and the accuracy of clinical examination. • Long Case examination: involving a range of medical conditions, where students took a detailed medical history, presented the case to the examiners, and discussed the diagnosis, possible complications, and proposed management plans. The examination atmosphere was marked by smooth workflow and precise organization, with no notable obstacles reported. In turn, the course coordinator of the Department of Internal Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Nihad Abdullah Al-Jubouri, commended the efforts of Merjan Teaching Hospital’s administration for facilitating procedures, providing appropriate wards, and preparing suitable clinical cases—supporting the educational process and ensuring the rigor and quality of the assessments.
