College of Medicine – University of Babylon Holds College Council Meeting

College of Medicine – University of Babylon Holds College Council Meeting
Chaired by Professor Dr. Muhannad Abbas Al-Shallah, Dean of the College of Medicine, and in the presence of the scientific and administrative assistants, all department heads, and Assistant Professor Dr. Basim Abdul-Ali Abdul, Secretary of the Council, the College Council convened its meeting.
The Dean welcomed the attendees, wishing them continued success in all their assigned duties, and extended his congratulations on the upcoming occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, praying that it brings goodness and success to all.
The council then discussed several directives issued by the respected University Council during its latest session, particularly those concerning strategic agreements between the Ministry and reputable international publishing platforms, aimed at enhancing the academic reputation of universities and colleges.
Subsequently, preparations for University Day—scheduled to be held in April—were addressed, with special attention to honoring distinguished faculty members in the fields of academics and research, alongside several other directives focusing on academic and moral guidance for students, combating extremism, and giving priority to global university rankings.
The council also reviewed the schedule of final examinations for the current second semester and the ongoing preparations, including question readiness and infrastructure arrangements, in a way that ensures the best interest of students, the college, and the university as a whole.
