College of Medicine, University of Babylon Wins the Award for Most Outstanding College at the Innovation Conference
Under the patronage of the Prime Minister and in collaboration with the University of Babylon, University of Hilla, Al-Mashriq University, and Al-Kut University—with distinguished participation from the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, and a select group of researchers and inventors from within Iraq and abroad—the activities of the 6th Iraqi International Forum for Innovation and Creativity were launched in Baghdad for two days under the slogan: “With innovation, nations are built.”
The conference was attended by Prof. Dr. Lubna Khamis Mahdi, representing the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Scientific Assistant Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mansour Al-Khafaji; Administrative Assistant Prof. Dr. Mithaq Talib Al-Jubouri; Dean of the College of Medicine Prof. Dr. Muhannad Abbas Al-Shallah; President of the Academics Syndicate in Babylon Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Khafaji; along with the scientific and administrative assistants, several department heads, and more than thirty faculty members.
The conference featured the discussion of 259 scientific research papers and included diverse activities such as 111 book signings, 109 patents, 52 artistic works, as well as a dedicated exhibition of scientific and cultural books and publications.
The participation of the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, included representation on scientific committees, contributions of research papers, patents, book authorship, chairing and rapporteur roles in scientific sessions, in addition to a supporting student committee composed of 12 students from various academic stages.
Mr. Luay Abdul Abbas Hussein, Secretary General of the Conference, stated that the forum discussed 280 scientific papers with international participation from Arab and foreign researchers. He emphasized that the forum has become an annual tradition that strengthens scientific communication and celebrates intellectual and academic achievements, reflecting the bright image of Iraq.
At the conclusion of the conference, the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, was honored with the award for Most Outstanding College, in addition to all participants being awarded the Medal of Innovation and Excellence in appreciation of their active contributions to the success of the conference’s activities.
