College of Medicine at the University of Babylon Holds Faculty Council Meeting

College of Medicine at the University of Babylon Holds Faculty Council Meeting
The Faculty Council of the College of Medicine was held under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Muhannad Abbas Al-Shallah, Dean of the College of Medicine, with the attendance of the scientific and administrative assistants, all department heads, and Assistant Professor Dr. Basim Abdul-Aali Abdul, the Council Secretary. The Dean welcomed the attendees and wished them continued success in all their assigned tasks.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Dean emphasized strict adherence to the examination regulations, especially by the exam hall supervisors and invigilators, to ensure the proper conduct of the ongoing end-of-second-semester examinations. He also stressed the importance of maintaining educational and psychological support for students during this period.
The Council also discussed several directives from the most recent University Council meeting, which highlighted the importance of utilizing faculty members who were sent on scholarships and maintaining active communication with their respective universities. Emphasis was also placed on the need to improve infrastructure, classrooms, and laboratories, as well as updating curricula to enhance the academic reputation of both the college and the university. The Council also stressed the university’s policy on scientific research and the recognition of outstanding researchers.
Later, Professor Dr. Salman Mohammed Salman, Chair of the Subcommittee for Academic Promotions, was invited to discuss the promotions completed for several faculty members. The meeting concluded with the discussion of the remaining items on the agenda
