University President Meets with Faculty Members of Babylon College of Medicine The President of the University of Babylon, Professor Dr. Ameen Ajeel Yasser Al-Yasiri, held an extensive meeting that included the scientific and administrative assistants, heads of departments, and faculty members. The meeting was attended by the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mansour Al-Khafaji, and the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Muhannad Abbas Al-Shallah. During the meeting, the University President emphasized that the administration and faculty of the College of Medicine are highly competent and responsible. He stated that a technical error during the exams should not cast doubt on the integrity of the educational process, noting that such errors can occur even in the most prestigious universities. He also expressed his full support for the college in its pursuit of the highest standards of quality in medical education and its efforts to obtain international academic accreditation. In the same context, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs praised the efforts of the college’s administration, faculty, and all staff, stressing the importance of maintaining teamwork to ensure a successful academic environment. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Dean of the College clarified that the error was purely technical, unintentional, and did not result in any deliberate harm or discrimination against the students. He added that the college’s administration promptly began taking the necessary legal measures upon discovering the issue, in order to safeguard the academic standing of both the university and the college. The meeting also included remarks from several faculty members, who highlighted the scientific achievements of Babylon College of Medicine in recent years. They noted that the international academic accreditation would not have been possible without the collective efforts of all involved and expressed their gratitude to the University President and his assistants for their significant contributions toward achieving the college’s goals
