Dean of the College of Medicine in Babylon Inspects the Lecture Hall Construction Project
The Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Muhannad Abbas Al-Shalah, conducted a field inspection of the lecture hall construction project and the renovation works in Professor Dr. Farhan Baqir Hall, to review the progress and stages of the work, accompanied by the administrative assistant and the resident engineer.
The resident engineer stated that the foundation casting for the entire building has been completed, in addition to the casting of the concrete columns designated for the project, and the construction of the concrete walls for the two tiered lecture halls and the elevator shaft.
He added that the full casting of the seating tiers for both halls, each accommodating 350 students, has been completed. The sanitary facilities, staircase casting, and the bridging between the concrete columns have also been finalized, along with the second-stage reinforcement steel installation for the additional concrete columns. The current completion rate is 28%.
It is noteworthy that the project includes two tiered lecture halls, two clinical skills laboratories, and eighteen OSCE stations.
Afterward, the Dean toured several ongoing projects at the College of Medicine to assess progress and provide suggestions aimed at improving performance and accelerating implementation.
