College of Medicine, University of Babylon Organizes a Memorial Stand Amid an atmosphere filled with sorrow and grief, the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, organized a memorial stand and observed a minute of silence on the anniversary of the genocide against the Yazidis and other Iraqi communities. The event was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Muhannad Abbas Al-Shalah, along with a number of the college staff. The memorial, held on the Day of Mass Graves, included a remembrance of the crimes committed by the dictatorial Ba’ath regime, which left behind hundreds of mass graves containing the remains of hundreds of thousands of innocent victims whose only fault was their rejection of the tyrant and his party. The event concluded with the recitation of Al-Fatiha (the Opening Chapter of the Holy Quran) in memory of Iraq’s martyrs, the victims of genocide, and the wrongfully murdered from all sects, praying to Almighty God to grant them His vast mercy and forgiveness, and to bestow patience and solace upon their families and loved ones
