Dean of Babylon College of Medicine Inspects Farhan Baqer Hall Project
The College of Medicine at Babylon University continues the project of rehabilitating and maintaining Dr. Farhan Baqer Hall for the purpose of expanding it. The project aims to enlarge the number of classrooms to accommodate the increasing number of students, enhance the college’s appearance in a manner befitting its scientific status, advance the academic and structural reality, and create an ideal learning environment suitable for students.
During his inspection, Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Mohend Abbass Al-Shalah, in a meeting with the resident engineering office, stated that work is proceeding steadily according to the agreed regulations and conditions, and within a rapid timeline. He instructed Engineer Nadia Shehab Hamad to complete the project within the specified period and according to the required specifications. She reported that 25% of the work has been completed, including finishing the auditorium tiers and starting electrical installations and subsequent phases.
The Dean provided several important observations focusing on the structural integrity of the building and emphasized the implementation of safety standards to ensure the well-being of students, as well as the aesthetic appearance of the exterior.
He also commended the efforts made in continuing and completing the work within a record period and according to the required specifications, praising the active role of the engineering division in monitoring the renovation work.
