A student from the College of Medicine at the University of Babylon wins first place in the National Elite Competition
Duaa Maytham Abdul-Zaid Al-Sa’eed, a Third year student at the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, and one of the students of the Holy Quran House in Babylon Province—affiliated with the National Memorization Project—achieved an outstanding Quranic accomplishment by winning first place in the memorization category at the 7th National Elite Competition, which qualifies for international competitions.
This competition was organized by the National Center for Quranic Sciences in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Al-Askari Holy Shrine, with the participation of distinguished female memorizers from ten Iraqi provinces.
This victory is considered the result of the student’s dedication and the supervision of the Quranic staff in the Babylon branch, and it serves as an important motivation for her to continue representing the province and the Holy Hussaini Shrine in international Quranic forums.
The Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Abbass Al-Shalah, directed that a “Letter of Appreciation” be awarded to the student Duaa Maytham to boost her morale and encourage other students to follow her example. He also expressed his gratitude to the National Center for Quranic Sciences and the General Secretariat of the Al-Askari Holy Shrine for their contribution to strengthening cooperation with the College of Medicine.
It is worth mentioning that the memorizer from the Holy Quran House of the Hussaini Holy Shrine previously achieved third place worldwide and has numerous participations in memorization and recitation competitions.
