Dean of the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, Participates in the International Scientific Conference on Artificial Intelligence
Professor Muhannad Abbass Al-Shalah, Dean of the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, participated in the International Scientific Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Medical and Allied Fields, held in London, United Kingdom, and organized by The Midlands Medical Academy.
The conference discussed the latest applications and emerging trends in artificial intelligence within the fields of medicine and allied health sciences, with the participation of a distinguished group of international scientists, physicians, and experts. The sessions focused on predictive analytics, early diagnosis, AI-guided surgery, and digital medical education.
After the conclusion of the conference, two official visits were conducted to:
Imperial College London and King’s College London,
to explore potential mechanisms for academic collaboration between the College of Medicine and these institutions.
The discussions focused on two main axes:
1. Enhancing faculty professionalism and medical education through joint academic training programs aimed at improving teaching quality and adopting modern educational methodologies.
2. Activating student participation in summer school programs at these universities to provide medical students with opportunities for practical training and international exposure within advanced academic environments.
