College of Medicine, University of Babylon Holds a Celebration on the Occasion of the Birth of Lady Fatima Al-Zahra (Peace Be Upon Her)
In commemoration and celebration of the birth anniversary of the Lady of the Women of the Worlds, Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her), the Department of Biochemistry at the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, in cooperation with the Student Activities Unit and the For the Sake of Al-Mahdi (AJ) Cultural Team, and with an invitation to Al-Ain Social Care Foundation, organized a joyful celebration with the participation of a number of College of Medicine students.
The event was held in the presence of His Eminence Sayyid Jaafar Al-Marouj (may Allah grant him success), the Administrative Assistant Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Samir Sawadi Hamoud, the Head of the Department of Biochemistry, Prof. Dr. Tareq Hussein Mughair, along with several heads of departments, faculty members, staff, and students.
The celebration began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by standing to recite Surah Al-Fatiha in honor of the souls of our righteous martyrs. This was followed by a speech delivered on behalf of the Deanship by Prof. Dr. Suhair Issa Hussein, in which she welcomed His Eminence Sayyid Jaafar Al-Marouj and the attendees, extending congratulations to the Islamic nation and our revered religious authorities on the blessed birth of the Lady of the Women of the Worlds, Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her).
Subsequently, His Eminence Sayyid Al-Marouj delivered a lecture highlighting the exemplary status of Lady Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her) as a role model for Muslim women, emphasizing the importance of following her example in chastity, knowledge, and wisdom. He then answered a number of questions raised by the audience.
The celebration continued with several cultural and devotional activities, including chanting segments praising this great occasion, a theatrical performance, and a Zahra’i nasheed presented by the girls of the Reihana Course affiliated with the Holy Qur’an House.
At the conclusion of the festival, gifts were distributed to the participants in this joyful and blessed celebration.
