College of Medicine – University of Babylon Celebrates the Imminent Graduation of Sixth-Year “Knights”
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Babylon, Professor Dr. Amin Ajeel Al-Yasiri, and under the supervision and attendance of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Mohend Abbass Al-Shalah, the College of Medicine at the University of Babylon held a joyful celebration marking the imminent graduation of the 28th cohort for the academic year 2025–2026, in an atmosphere filled with pride and appreciation for six years of dedication and perseverance.
The ceremony was attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Ashraf Mohammed Ali Hussein, and the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Samir Suwadi Hamoud, in addition to a distinguished group of heads of scientific departments, faculty members, and lecturers of the college, with active participation from the graduating students.
During the ceremony, Professor Dr. Mohend Abbass Al-Shalah delivered a speech congratulating the students and their families, emphasizing that graduation represents the beginning of a noble humanitarian and professional journey. He also commended the students for the efforts they exerted throughout their six years of study.
The celebration included the distribution of certificates of appreciation to the students in recognition of their academic commitment and achievements during their educational journey, and to encourage them to continue striving for excellence in their future professional careers as physicians serving the community.
The ceremony was characterized by an atmosphere of warmth and appreciation between faculty members and their students, as attendees recalled the most significant academic and clinical training experiences the students had undergone in the lecture halls and teaching hospitals of the college.
At the conclusion of the event, the students expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the college administration and all faculty members for the academic and moral support they had received, pledging to be worthy ambassadors of the University of Babylon in healthcare institutions everywhere.
