The Curriculum Committee Holds Its Fourth Meeting for the Current Academic Year The Curriculum Committee at the College of Medicine convened its fourth meeting for the current academic year under the chairmanship of Professor Mohend Abbass Al-Shalah, Dean of the College, with the attendance of the Assistant Deans for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, representatives of the Medical Education Unit, and other committee members from the scientific departments. During the meeting, the committee discussed the reports submitted by the Examination Quality Assurance Committee (QAAC), which included an analysis of the first-semester examination results based on the electronic OMR correction system, as well as the committee’s proposals for improving the quality and structure of examination questions. The committee also reviewed the report of the Monitoring and Evaluation Committee at the College, which presented the results of students’ questionnaires for the first semester, including student feedback on the academic program. The recommendations of the Monitoring and Evaluation Committee were discussed with the aim of enhancing the implementation and effectiveness of the curriculum. In another item on the agenda, the committee discussed the reports on the mock examinations conducted by the scientific departments and evaluated the level of benefit achieved for students. Appropriate recommendations were issued to further develop and strengthen this important educational activity. In the final agenda item, the committee reviewed the progress rates of curriculum completion and discussed the possibility of adjusting teaching schedules to ensure full coverage of the syllabus and to mitigate the impact of holidays during the final weeks of the semester.
