The Medical Education Unit at the College of Medicine, University of Babylon Holds Its Regular Meeting to Discuss Curriculum Development and the Educational Process The Medical Education Unit at the College of Medicine, University of Babylon held its regular meeting under the chairmanship of the Dean of the College and Head of the Curriculum Committee, Prof. Mohend Abbass Al-Shalah, and in the presence of the Director of the Unit, Prof. Adel Al-Hindawi, along with the esteemed members of the Unit. At the beginning of the meeting, the Dean emphasized the leading and pivotal role played by the Medical Education Unit in monitoring and evaluating the educational process and advancing teaching and learning mechanisms in alignment with the well-established academic standards adopted by the College. The meeting addressed several key issues aimed at improving the educational environment, most notably: Review of the organizational structure and the reports of the Medical Education committees and strengthening the role of the academic departments: It was emphasized that the academic departments represent the fundamental pillar and the body responsible for the practical implementation of the educational program, highlighting the importance of activating their role in ensuring the successful delivery of the study plans. At the conclusion of the meeting, a number of recommendations and proposals were approved to further strengthen the components of the educational process within the College. These recommendations will be submitted to the College Deanship for the necessary actions to be taken accordingly.
