The Department of Physiology and Medical Physics at the College of Medicine, University of Babylon held a ceremonial event honoring Professor Dr. Naser Jawad Hamad Al-Mukhtar on the occasion of his retirement, in recognition of his distinguished academic and scientific career and his many years of dedicated service and achievements that significantly enriched the college.
The ceremony was attended by Professor Mohend Abbass Al-Shalah, Dean of the College of Medicine, along with the Assistant Deans, and a distinguished group of faculty members from the Department of Physiology and administrative staff. Speeches delivered during the event highlighted his pioneering role in developing medical curricula, advancing scientific research in the field of medical physiology, supervising numerous Master’s theses and PhD dissertations, and contributing to the education and training of generations of physicians and researchers who benefited from his knowledge and extensive experience.
The retirement of Professor Dr. Naser Al-Mukhtar marks not an end, but rather a milestone honoring a career rich in excellence and dedication. His academic legacy will remain a lasting source of pride for the college and an enduring reference for future generations.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the College Shield and a Certificate of Appreciation were presented to Professor Al-Mukhtar as an expression of gratitude and recognition for his sincere efforts. In turn, Professor Al-Mukhtar expressed his appreciation to the College Deanship and his colleagues in the department, affirming his pride in the years he spent at the University of Babylon and his service within this esteemed institution.
